Warsaw Modlin Airport is a new airport, having opened in 2012. It's 25 miles from Warsaw. One of Poland's top five busiest airports, Warsaw Modlin Airport is only served by Ryanair at present, but it was built for low-cost airlines in general. After you've picked up your hire car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the airport, driving to Warsaw should take less than an hour, via the DK7. Once in Warsaw, visiting the Old Town has to be a highlight of your stay. Much of the Old Town has been recreated following the blitz, but it's still very beautiful and full of attractions, interesting buildings and good restaurants. Lazienki Palace is one of the city's most famous classical buildings and was where the last king of Poland lived. It's surrounded by Lazienki Królewskie park, which is a calm and serene place for a stroll and a break from driving, while still being close to the city centre. Parking in the city is possible in one of the multi-storey car parks. Many city hotels offer visitor parking and you can also park on the streets in designated, metered spaces.

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the licence is written in a language or characters different from those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licences from countries that are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK.

Fuel policy at non-airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refuelling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of fuel is not guaranteed.

Fuel policy at airport car rental locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refuelling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel — pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • The pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of fuel minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Pre-paid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
